The Bonaparte Palace, formerly D’Aste Rinuccini, is a palace located in Piazza Venezia, in Rome, in the Pigna district.
The building is one of the most important works of the architect Giovanni Antonio De Rossi, who worked there from 1657 to 1677 on behalf of the marquises Giuseppe and Benedetto d’Aste. The property, passed after twenty years (about 1699) to the marquises Rinuccini, was taken over in 1818 by Maria Letizia Ramolino Bonaparte, mother of Napoleon, who lived there until his death (1836). The heirs, Bonaparte princes of Canino and Musignano, in 1905 gave it to the marquises Misciattelli. It has been owned by Assitalia since 1972.
